Hello Coffee Lovers!! Happy Almost Valentines Day!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #44 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #44 – Use Glitter. The magazine has some great ideas for using glitter, one added glitter to foam squares and another used spray adhesive to add glitter to a rectangle panel. One card die cut zig zags from double sided tape, created a background and added glitter. The last card added glitter to colorful buttons!
Every so often I do a purge of my craft supplies, but each time I keep a few fancy glitters that I have had for a loooong time!! I have been wanted to use them and one day I though of a way to do that, but I never got around to actually doing it! So this challenge helped me get it done!!
I started with some transparent embossing paste and Art Glitter Inca Gold glitter, mixing both together on my glass mat. I used a lot of glitter, I figured why not!!! I used Gina K Designs Thick Brush stencil over a white die cut rectangle. There was plenty left over so I pulled out a black card base that I had and used the stencil and my handmade glitter paste with it also.
My plan was to use the white rectangle, but after coming back after the paste dried. I really liked the gold and black. I’ll use the white rectangle on another project. The glitter and paste turned out wonderfully! Soooo sparkly!!
I had some new goodies I wanted to use so next I pulled out Vintage Type from The Ton Stamps. I used some Catherine Pooler inks to ink up the type writer, then fussy cut it out. Next, I pulled out an older Simon Says Stamp set and stamped the coffee cup on some pattern paper. I fussy cut that out too!
Last I used some liquid adhesive to adhere the type writer and foam tape to adhere the coffee cup! I love how it turned out, fabulous sparkly!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Dana
