Hello there coffee loving friends! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip. This week, I’ve created a card inspired by the Coffee Date post I shared HERE. I’m hosting a fun coffee date challenge with this sketch so if you would like to play along for a yummy coffee loving prize, please share a card on our FB page. :).
Today’s card features new digi images from Super Sponsor Graciellie Designs. The images used are part of the fun “A Cup of Love” digi set that is on sale this weekend. Check it out! It’s a great collection of fun Valentine/Love themed sentiments and a beautiful coffee cup with some cookie treats. I cropped the cup image into a square frame and added a lovey-dovey sentiment.
After printing the image, I colored it with watercolor pencils (I used them both dry and with a brush). After coloring, I added some splatters of white and teal to tie it all together.
Super delish is what you can say about this image, right?!
I decided to play a little with the sketch by exaggerating the size of the “sentiment” and using a fun die from The Cat’s Pajamas (the DOTS Cutupz die is awesome!) to help me mimic the sprinkles on the cookies.
Adding a little polka-dot action with the ribbon was a must!
Thanks for hopping over to check out my card today. I hope it inspires you (as does the sketch challenge) to play and get crafty this week. I hope you consider playing along with me! See you next time!
