Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello Coffee Lovers!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I did and will be playing with some new crafty goodies this week!

It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #39 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!

Challenge #39 – Spell A Word With Twine. This technique is a fun way to use your twine! The four cards in the magazine spell out Hello, Yay, Happy and Sunshine.

The cards in the magazine penciled in the sentiment and slowly adhered the twine little by little. I did my twine word a little different. I started by stamping a stamp that spelled out Coffee. Then I added clear drying glue to the twine, this made it a little stiff and sticky of course. I worked the twine to trace the Coffee sentiment, making sure not to press it down on the card stock because it was going to go on a different piece when I was done.

While the twine was drying I stamped the cute snowman with a coffee cup from Hello Bluebird Stamps Frosty Friends set. I used my Spectrum Noir Colorblend Pencils to color the image and then fussy cut it out.

I added a panel of silver glitter paper to a white card stock and then used a Reverse Confetti Scallop Stripe Panel to cut some purple card stock that matched the purple twine I used.

When the twine word was dry I adhered it to a strip of black card stock. Then I notched the ends. I added the purple panel to the card and then added the black strip and snowman with foam tape.
