We have our June Guest Designer, Beatrix (Lily) Révhely, back with us!

You are my cup of sea
Hi fellow crafters! How is your summer going? Is it sunny there? We had really hot days in Hungary so I had fun with bubbles and mermaids to chill. Will you join me? Let’s create a cooling, mermazing card!

My choice for today was Craftin Desert Divas “Cup of Sea” stamp set. I love all the cute elements on this set – mermaids, sea creatures, tea, donuts and cupcakes!

I was sure that my card needs a lot of bubbles, so I took an embossing folder with many of them. I temporary glued my paper with removable glue tape inside the folder and used pigment inks to create the background. The most important thing here is that you do not drag your ink pads, just gently tap the folders pattern with them. Mix colors as you like just keep tapping. The results will be awesome, trust me!

I was using copic markers to color the creatures and other elements of the stamp set. Color choices depends on the background colors – try to create some contrast. For final touches I’ve used white gelly uniball pen.

After the coloring my card still needed some playful element so I’ve cut a white background paper with Waffle Flower Lacy Layer die. I’ve also used one of the lacy die of this die set for the title flag. I’ve stamped the sentiment with Versafine blue lagoon ink pad and heat embossed it with transparent powder.

To create more contrast I’ve used blue paper for card base and also put a stripe of it on my tags.

Thank You so much for your attention. I hope my card inspires You to create something gorgeous!
Lily, Beatrix Révhelyi
PS.: It took one cappuccino to make this card.
