Hello there Coffee Loving stampers! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip! I recently got this gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio stamp set called Believe (Word Series) and Die and I had this idea to fill a cup with the pretty posies that were available in the stamp set. They reminded me of the flowers that grew on my Grandma and Grandpa’s crabapple trees in Iowa and I loved seeing them bloom each spring/summer. Sooo… I decided to color them the pretty pink I remember!
I started out by stamping and coloring the background panel. I used my Copics to blend the colors just as I hoped- a little sketchy like the stamp design themselves. After the background was done, I set out to doodle a large to-go cup. I would have used one of my big to-go cup stamps or dies, but I carried them upstairs the other day and am a bit lazy to go get them. SOO…Doodling it was!
After doodling the to-go cup, I stamped and colored the images in the same manner and then added some Fun Stampers Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust to give them just the perfect pretty dimension, sparkle and shine. I set these two items aside to dry and stamped and diecut the sentiment. After that, I glossed that up a bit and let it dry.
To finish the card off, I assembled the card base and the layered panels as well as mounted the stamped panel onto the card. I added a fun red Hero Arts button onto the cup, some red Hemptique twine and mounted the cup and sentiment onto the stamped panel with some foam squares.
What a fun card. I love the bright color and the pretty florals and this set will be a favorite for sure ! I can imagine some light lavender and yellow flowers in my future!
