Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello there coffee loving friends!  It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip.  Today I’ve created a pretty CAS card featuring a few of my favorite things.

This card features Fun Stampers Journey products.  I used Black Licorice True Fusion ink, Happy Sentiments and Hey Sugar stamp sets as well as Lemon Drop Liquid Color,  Bubble Gum Liquid Color and my Gel Press.

To create the background, I simply added a few drops of Lemon Drop Liquid Color (watercolor medium) to my gel press and rubbed an acetate sheet over it to spread the ink around.  After that, I laid the cardstock onto the Gel Press to lift the color.  I also splattered some Bubble Gum and Lemon Drop Liquid Color onto the design using a fine paintbrush.

The sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice ink.  The little hearts were colored with Bubble Gum Liquid Color.  After creating the background “sunshine colors”, I stamped the to-go cup using Oatmeal Cookie ink.  This gave somewhat of a muted image to the background and allowed the sentiment to take center stage.  I added a Tag Time Punch (punch handle too) then incorporated a golden yellow doily and some Natural Thread to finish it off.  Last but not least, I attached a strip of Lemon Drop cardstock to the top of the panel and attached the whole panel to a kraft card base.
