Ah Mondays – when coffee becomes an essential drug. Luckily, I’m popping in to share a bright and cheery caffeinated card to go along with your warm beverages this morning.
I don’t know about you, but I’m TERRIBLE at planning for the holiday season. Being a cardmaker, everyone expects a homemade card from me. But being a procrastinator… welp, I always run out of cards. So I vowed to start my Christmas in July this year.
I started my card by sponging a background in cool shades of blue Distress Inks.
I brushed some of the darkest shade of blue onto a snowflake embossing folder and used it backwards to deboss the pattern into my cardstock.
Ooooooo!
It definitely made me want to run my fingers all over that texture.
I made some white splatters using Distress Spray Stains, to add some additional visual interest to my background.
It’s pretty rare for me to make a card with zero stamping, but that’s exactly what I did! I added two die cuts – a coffee thermos and a sentiment phrase – both from STAMPlorations to complete my look.
Thanks for popping by and I hope you all have a lovely Monday!
