Happy Monday to all my lovely crafty friends! I’ve had this image dancing around in my brain and finally translated it to paper. I’ve been on the prowl for some time now, for a nice set of babushka nesting doll stamps. I’ve looked high and low for about a year, but couldn’t settle on anything due to pricing or it just wasn’t right for me. Recently, I launched another search and lo and behold, I found this newly released set called “Beautiful Babushka’s“, by Hunkydory Crafts in the UK and their “For The Love Of Stamps” line of products.
I’ve also had another stamp set from the same line called “Coffee Time” that I needed to break in. Both sets were purchased from Top Flight Stamps, an online shop here in the US that sells hard to find stamps from other countries. I’ve ordered from them several times and am thrilled with their prices, low shipping and speedy delivery.
I love this French Press stamp and wanted to include this in my scene. It’s how I drink my coffee every day. I love my French Press! I’m using Tombow dual brush markers for all my coloring today and a waterbrush as well.
I’m also using the Unity Stamp Co Grainy background stamp, masking the areas where I wanted to stamp, then stamping with my Misti. The little shelf stamp is included in the Beautiful Babushka stamp set, as is the little x’s and o’s stamp that I used on my coffee cup, which is from the Pink & Main stamp set Latte Love. I’m using various papers including DCWV and Carta Bella, with Spellbinders pierced dies. Foam dots and my adhesive runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L pull this little ensemble together, along with that little floral bouquet that I fussy cut from scrap paper. I’m so happy that many of these companies are super sponsors of our quarterly blog hops and I hope you will consider shopping with them.
As luck would have it, there is a coupon code that is currently available from Top Flight Stamps for 10% off your order. Use code thefrugalcrafter10 at checkout but hurry…. it expires Wed., 5/24. Sign up to get their emails and you will get the occasional coupon code….just like I did! You just might be seeing more of Top Flight Stamps at our upcoming Summer Blog Hop (hint, hint) which has not yet been announced. Hey, if you’d like, tell them CLC sent you, in the comment section of your order. They would love hearing that!
I had some quality fun time, coloring my little scenic morning view. Before you go, here’s some Coffee Buzz news. I stumbled across this article in the Men’s Journal online, “The 25 Best Coffee Roasters in America“. (Photo Credit: Men’s Journal/unknown)
There are some amazing independent roasters all across the US. The list (link above) of the top 25 had my mouth watering! It’s totally worth a look. Maybe some of them are in your neck of the woods. Many have online ordering available, if you love trying out new coffee. Tell us about it, if you do. Thanks for stopping in and I hope your Monday is stupendous! Terri
