Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello there coffee-loving stampers!  It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun installment of my Sunday Sip and Share.  The aroma of coffee fills the air as I type this post!

It’s winter but that doesn’t mean I have to think of SNOW and BLIZZARDS…I’m dreaming of the sunshine and a trip to Hawaii.  Wouldn’t that be nice right about now?  I created this playful card to get me in the mood for fun!  I painted with KONA coffee and colored a hula girl, tiki and Blue Hawaiian drinkie-poo! Yes I did. I played with the Let’s Hula stamp set and die bundle from Fun Stampers Journey.  I love this adorable little Hawaiian set and it was fun to bring out during a non-traditional time of year. Yes, you CAN make any stamp set coffee-licious when you’re an addict like me!  Just brew a small cup of Kona blend coffee and brush it onto some cardstock. I also added some to my hula girl, tiki and coconut drink after I colored them with my Copics.  

After creating the coffee background, I added a little watered-down Blue Lagoon paint to incorporate the watery theme.  I let that dry then splattered it with some Turbo Teal, Outrageous Pink and Dark Roast Silk.  When the silk was dry, I fussy cut the coffee background to add to the whimsical feel of the card.  I tied a bit of Beach Breeze Thread to this panel too.  I rubbed a bit of Clear Stickles onto this panel and attached the stamped/diecut elements with some foam squares. I attached it to a stamped Electric Lime panel and mounted it onto a whip cream card base.

That Blue Hawaiian looks deeelish right?  Sparkly ice and teeth, yup!

I finished off the card by adding a few pearls.  🙂  OOOHHH this card smells so coffee-delish!
