Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hi everyone, Andreea here and today I am sharing a fun shaker card featuring two Sunny Studio Stamps sets: Mug Hugs and Merry Sentiments.

“Friends make the season merry” – I thought it is such a fun sentiment that needed to be paired with a fun card.

To begin my card I stamped and gold embossed the coffee cups and colored them in soft colors, using the zig markers. I also added a layer of glossy accent, so they have a “fine china” finishing look. While the glossy accent was drying, I started working on the shaker part.

For the back panel of the shaker I lightly blended “tumble glass” distress ink for a bit of color. I have them stamped and gold emboss the word “Merry” from the Merry sentiments stamp set. For some added interest, I stamped few snow flakes from the Mug Hugs stamp set and heat embossed them using Wow “snow sparkle” embossing powder.

I have die cut a number of circle frames using My Favourite Things stitched circle dies, stacked and glue them together to create my shaker window. The shaking elements are a combination of “sea spray” and “pink Christmas” sets by Little things by Lucy’s cards. The colors and sparkly bits are matching really well the colors of my cups.

To finish up my card I added the cups to the shaker window and then for the sentiment I heat emboss in gold “friends make the season”, which goes along with the Merry inside the shaker. The shaker window is adhered on a round card base, which I die cut using Sizzix scallop circle die.
