A Cup of Happiness – #PSL kind of day

A Cup of Happiness 2

Hello coffee loving friends!

Are you starting to get ready for the Fall Blog Hop yet? This is it will be running between September 23rd and 30th, and Amy has already lined up fabulous sponsors for you! I cannot wait to see all of your creations in the gallery.

When I was younger, well ok .. a lot younger, I never used to like Fall all that much. Mainly because it was bringing the end of the summer holiday and the rainy season. Nowadays, a rainy day is just the perfect excuse for spending time in my crafting corner.  And I love all that fall brings to us: the changing colors of the trees, the smell of chrysanthemums, chestnuts and walnuts, and a hot pumpkin spice latte on a chilly morning. I have discovered the smell and taste of pumpkins as adult. And only tasted a pumpkin spice latte few years ago, it was love at first sip. And speaking of a rainy fall day … there is something comforting about snuggling up with a good book and a hot PSL, almost competing with the therapeutical crafting.

The newly released Reverse Confetti stamp set and coordinating die “Just brew it” was love at first sip, oh I mean love at first sight. I love the coffee cup shape and also the different messages that can be stamped on the cup.”It’s a #PSL kind of day” is the perfect message for our fall coffee themed cards. On the card I am sharing today, I combined the PSL cup with the pumpkin dies by Simon Says Stamp. I couldn’t resist using some polka dot paper for the pumpkin die cuts.

The kraft cardstock panel is embossed with the woodgrain embossing folder by Darice.  Before attaching the cup and the pumpkins I have lightly blended some distress inks on the main panel, for a bit of colourful shading. You know I like adding some twine to my projects and I found the perfect pumpkin color twine, by Avery Elle. The acorn and tiny leaves are sticky embellishments which I thought are completing my fall “coffee table” nicely. The panels were ready to be attached to the card base.

I hope my card inspires you to start working on your fall blog hop projects, remember these have to be new coffee/ tea/ cocoa/ hot chocolate themed projects, created during the blog hop. You will not want to miss the fun and the opportunity to win some awesome prizes.

Thank you for stopping by and see you next week with more fall inspiring projects.

Hugs,
Andreea

Ah yes…the wonders of fall that are both beautiful yet bittersweet. Your card, however, is ONLY sweet and incredibly pretty! The coffee cup and pumpkins pairing capture Autumn wonderfully…and who doesn’t love polka-dot pumpkins!

This is adorable, Andreea! Love the patterned pumpkins and acorn… and of course the RC coffee cup, they bring a lot of unexpected fun to the card. It’s just that I’m not in full Autumn mode yet :).
